LOUISE MULLINS
2018 WRAP
Kicking off the year as assistant editor on the political drama Las Desaparecidas, (Dir. Astrid Dominguez) which went on to screen at MIFF and in festivals across Mexico.
2018 brought lots of commercial opportunities, some of my highlights being The Platypus Discover Series (Prod. HatsOff), live on-site editing for Nike - Battleforce (Prod. Gen C) and a TVC for GAMI (Prod. NewMac).
Collaborating with talented directors and cinematographers on a scope of creative client projects, include highlights of Oh Pep!'s music video Hurt Nobody (Dir. Emily Dynes), longform fashion documentary set against the dramatic landscapes of Italy (currently in post-production, Dir. Alice Stephens), and a bunch of fun music projects from director showreels to festival reels for Pitch and Melbourne Music Week.
Stepping away from the comfort of the edit suite, I took a rare opportunity to be on set, working as 2nd AC on the 6 part comedy series Dee-Brief (Dir. Sarah Hickey Prod. Jessica Pearce) which went on to be broadcast on Channel 11 and Ten Play.
And what's a year without squeezing in some fun stuff too?! Editng Julia Dawson's chilling short Home Safe, Bangkok psychedelic fashion clip Loco Mosquito (Dir. Roxanne Hallie), and Miss Capricorn for Calendar Girls (Dir. Lara Köse) being some of my favourites from the year.
It's been a huge year. Thanks to everyone I've had the chance to work with!
